20 years after playing for his 40th birthday party, music buff Geoff Abell & Jo had us back at their Marple home to entertain 6 family members for his 60th. He had arranged & composed tunes to be performed, fed us like royalty & provided a pergola second to none. NEVER in 40 years have we experienced such a privilege, welcome & immersion in an event none of us will ever forget. Thanks for your hospitality, enthusiasm -& for your generosity & for welcoming us back into your home & garden .

Our first 2021 wedding and it was memorable,
Postponed from October 2020 & with 30 guests it was intimate warm–the weather too!-& the musical choices
were mainly classical which was a treat for us. BUT A FIRST for us in 40 YEARS was the bridal couple’s mid-meal
dance to Once upon as Dream-aka Tchaikovsky & Disney-absolutely fab. Mum, Yvonne had kept the dialogue going since
the Etihad Wedding Fair in January 2020 and HERE WE ALL WERE at last. Ta for having us, be well and stay in touch.

A baby due within the next week plus their imminent relocation to Dubai–and Carlton Ensemble as a trio for the first time in 20 years-
it was great and they are fab people. Obviously–as they’re Scousers ! We even had a parking spot outside the hotel–good luck Jacksons .

Fay was thorough and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We booked a string trio for our small “covid time” wedding and they were the focus of everyone’s attention. Fay and her team were able to adapt and learn a couple of new arrangements we asked for, which meant a lot to our family. They took a lot of pride in their work and you can see they enjoy playing. Everyone really enjoyed the music and it gave our wedding the perfect atmosphere. We would highly recommend Carton ensemble to anyone looking for a highly professional and sociable group of string musicians
Sarah called Wednesday for this Saturday’s wonderful and reduced Mass at St Vincent’s Knutsford. It was not only our first gig since March 8th but Father John’s last engagement before retiring the next day.Masked or unmasked we were thrilled to perform to the 30-strong crowd -before numbers are restricted to 15. The church officials, guersts and of course the couple were delightful-and next day Sarah texted,’Dear Fay-just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at our wedding. The music was beautiful and created such a lovely atmosphere-it made the day so special.’ For us too Sarah.
