19 adults, 4 children & 5 of us–what an honour to play for Catherine & Steve–and it was sunny too by the sea. A memorable marriage–happiness and good health to you both x
We’ve at last got round to sending you these photographs & thanking you for making our Wedding Day so memorable & complete. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole event, small as it was , your music & presence filled the room with an unforgettable joyous atmosphere.
So much so, that now when l hear a string quartet playing on the TV or radio, I’m immediately taken back to our happy day!!I only wish we had taken a video of some of the day to savour for ever!

A chance chat at a mutual pal’s 50th — & by the grace of army ‘vet’ young be-medalled officer Shaun Grace we played at his wife Jacquie’s ladies’ nite for 13 army wives served by their uniformed blokes served -they served us too !!! Such lovely music was chosen with just a bit of Oasis, Stone Roses , Gun ‘n Roses and Metallica amidst loads of Opera we were all really happy too.
Ta for having us
Our second Snelson wedding–a complete privilege & great pleasure–fun couple, fun parents & fun guests at Shrigley Hall–& the January weather was cold & sparkling .
‘Thank you so much for making our day so special. Everyone had a fab time and thoroughly enjoyed your music – much more in keeping for a wedding than jazz or piano in my eyes! Please thank all your “team”. They were brill. You were right to play through the meal too ! Will recommend you to anyone looking for a string quartet. Thanks again Fay love Sue , Vicky , Gareth oh & also Alan (poor dad father of three girls)!’
You really made our day extra special by being here, all our guests were so impressed and I’m sure our wedding will be remembered, thanks again and if at any time we require your talents I will be in contact.
Thanks again

Steph’s fun party –and again LOADS of singing from Angels to Bohemian Rhapsody and You’re Just too Good to be True– great hostess & friendly guests-yes we had fun despite the frost !

abetted by Paul Robinson we played to singers who could teach most congregations a thing or three–stunning singing-a privilege to accompany & thanks to Paul for depping on trumpet, Sarah, Heather, Danny, & Andy on trombone. He came up from his Oxford home, played for us with bezazz as usual & this morning at 6 was on the train to work –in Cambridge, He’s helped out since 2000 when he was 16-ta Andy & ALL of YOU fab SINGERS . We raised £850 for local causes . It’s just wonderful–so we’re just short of 35K in all since we kicked off in 1981.
A true Christmas Wonderland with beautiful navy-clad bridesmaids plus family, friends– & pre-ceremony carols which were a first for us too. A beautiful winter wedding-we wish you every happiness together, we really do

We went down well at REME Wrexham under the guidance of Captain Cross–the table banging, clapping & singing made it a joy for us to perform & the Colonoel’s personal compliments & request for Vivaldi clinched the feel good factor–a great nite for us. THEN PAUL CROSS sent this —
‘Thank you to Carlton Ensemble for making a special night into an outstanding one for us all but in particular Lt Col D Harris on his Dine Out. Throughout the evening, they played a wide selection from classical to up to date music and even played a few favourites of the CO’s or mine; I dreamed a dream from Les Miserables and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – Winter. They also played the REME Corps March…Lilliburlero which erupted into clapping and table banging as did quite a few other tunes they played! You were perfect throughout, hope you enjoyed it as much as we do! I cannot recommend these enough.’

‘Thank you for making our wedding ceremony and christening just perfect! We had so many positive comments about your music….. perfect in every way xxxx’
