On Cloud 9 in Cloud 23 for Colocast Conference party– great great fun and thanks for having us

We first saw The Carlton Ensemble at Dimitri’s restaurant in Didsbury a few years ago, and I said if I ever got married then I’d love them to play! And they did! Fay was fantastic to deal with from the start and the ensemble sounded great in our venue, all of our guests commented on the lovely atmosphere it created. We would highly recommend this friendly and professional group, thank you so much!

Maybe our prettiest bride since 1982 in a setting to match. Our clothes matched her bridesmaids’ oufits perfectly & having decided 3 years ago at Olive & Vine that she loved our version of ‘1000 Years’–well here we were ! Good luck from us ,

We entertained Paul & Andrea’s intimate  25-strong  wedding party after they’d wined & dined @ Crewe Hall–& danced to Queen of Sheba & Galway Gal. It was a treat for us & hopefuly fine for everyone else !

27 international visitors– 12 Russians plus  Spanish, Portuguese, Irish, French, Polish, Slovakian & British guests–seemed really ready to be entertained. But organiser Andrew Lunt’s message made the day for us with this message,

‘ We very much enjoyed your music last evening, the choice was perfect. Thanks to you and the others in the Ensemble for your efforts.’ Ta Andrew

Truly memorable on such a snowy, bitter-cold day in the hills. We were a surprise & perfectly colour co-ordinated with the maroon theme. Paula came in after ‘The Final Countdown ‘  followed by brill speeches & original poems  in this made-to -measure ceremony. Even the registrar was super—a sincere, unpretentious crowd and friendly hotel management too. Good luck Monaghans

April 28th this just arrived:
Fay & the Gang-thank you for playing such a big part in our special day. You were absolutely fabulous. Everyone commented on your music. We’ve watched our video & you complemented our wedding service beautifully-we’re so glad we asked you- Paula & Stuart

Today’s team–a lovely time was had by all-especially when a tiny child came up to Martin & having liked  ‘A Tale as Old as Time’ featuring the flute said,’ Thank you, thank you –that was really really lovely.’ How worthwhile is that?

‘You were the icing on the cake & we couldn’t have asked for a better string group. Our guests thought it was such a nice touch to the wedding–we’ll stay in touch & see you at Olive & Vine,  Didsbury’.

Love  –Clare & Dee, September 15th, 2017, Lowry Centre

We’ve played loads of church christenings but Gretel O’Hanlon’s was our first  full-on , stand alone christening party. The 12 weeks old didn’t squeak once-nor did big bro Zak-ta Ben and Mum Zoe.

From Ben & Zoe -we had such a lovely time & you were amazing. I think we’ll be booking you again next time. You provided everything we wanted & the requests were a lovely touch.

The Carlton Ensemble did our christening and were a huge success. From the consultation, through to taking personal requests and handling overly enthusiastic family members, they exceeded our expectations at every step. Fay who was our point of contact was warm and helpful. Without doubt we’ll be booking them again and I have recommended them several times already. Definitely worth booking at twice what we paid!

To Fay & all at the Carlton Ensemble I can’t thank you enough for your musical contribution toward our wedding day on December 22nd. From meeting you earlier in the year to coming to hear you play @ Olive & Vine several times, you have been the ultimate professionals: talented & passionate & always ready to entertain our ideas & suggestions. You added the magical touch to our wedding & we will always be appreciative. Many thanks– Mr & Mrs Higgins x
THANK YOU Lauren & Jack–our privilege

New Charter Housing’s Christmas Party has been our annual December mainstay since 2005–apart from one year ! It’s so lovely to return to this familiar Ashton-under-Lyne venue–and the first time I found my way there easily -the return journey was less successful!
